In six words we are propelled into the narrative of heartbreak and lost parenthood that has become the most famed example of flash fiction writing in the world. Attributed apocryphally to Ernest Hemmingway, it matches the mastery the author of 'Old Man and the Sea' and 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' is known for with even less room to breathe.

Fiction of this sort: Brief, Punchy, and Poignant. Stories which are read in a breath and not forgotten till your last. It is such writing that the Baby Shoes Review is intent on bringing to the forefront of the literary world again.
